The opening date for a celebrity chef’s new Suffolk restaurant has been revealed.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, located in the Brook Hotel, in Orwell Road, Felixstowe, is set to open on June 27.

News broke in February that the acclaimed chef’s company would be transforming The Brook Hotel into a boutique-style hotel named Hotel Coco.

The building will also contain the steakhouse plus a pub called The Queen’s Head – the first venue of its kind under a new brand known as Marco Pierre White Ale House, which will open on July 4.

The restaurant will serve up a menu mixing English and French cuisine, with childhood favourites and seasonal dishes.

The opening date for the hotel has yet to be confirmed.

Andrew Vales was announced as the general manager of the three-in-one venue last month.

Mr Vales hoped it would offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

He said: “Interest and excitement has been building as work continues to convert the building into the new hotel, restaurant and pub.

“To announce that guests can now start to reserve a table will only add to the anticipation of dining in our Marco Pierre White restaurant.

“It’s not pretentious, just great food served in a great atmosphere.”
